Michaels long time love affair with photography sparked in 1971, when his older brother, allowed him to develop his first black and white prints in the darkroom.  This lead to enjoying the fulfilling  pastime of freelance photography enabling him to channel his gifts on nature, portraits, sports and people of diverse ethnic heritages.

 

This single father of two and grandfather of one is also an avid outdoorsman, who has backpacked to the most exciting remote locations including climbing the nation's highest summits.  As an outdoor youth program director and instructor for all ages, he has had the privilege of guiding fellow explorers who share a mutual appreciation for experiencing the magnificence of nature's bounty in a friendly and responsible manner, and developing new stewards in the process which is dear to his heart.  Uniquely combining his passions has blessed Michael  with genuinely authentic experiences.

 

As a photojournalist, Michael has covered news events, sports and social events. You can find his work in publications such as the Colorado Visitor Guide, Wilderness Society Magazine, The Denver Post, In the Black Magazine and the Urban Spectrum to name a few.
